Governor Whitmer has signed new legislation requiring insurers to include treatments for mental health and substance use disorder in their coverage at the same level as physical health services. This new law, Senate Bill 27, aims to close all of the loopholes in insurance coverage to ensure all individuals are getting the treatments they need.
