Great Lakes Recovery Centers (Ishpeming and Hancock Outpatient Offices) is looking for full-time or part-time Substance Use Disorder Outpatient Counselor with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field, or Masters or Bachelor’s in Social Work with a CADC or CAADC (may also be acquired during employment).

Employees who consistently meet service goals will have the potential to earn an extra $100-$300 per week on top of hourly pay.

GLRC Foundation Assistant
Ishpeming, MI

The GLRC Foundation is accepting applications for a FT GLRC Foundation Assistant, based out of the Ishpeming Office. This position is 40 hours per week and reports to the Foundation Coordinator. The GLRC Foundation Assistant will be part of the GLRC Foundation Team.

The GLRC Foundation Assistant will be responsible for assisting Great Lakes Recovery Centers with the marketing of all GLRC programs and events, with input and support from the GLRC Foundation Coordinator

DUTIES:
• Maintain the GLRC website
• Develop marketing materials such as brochures, fliers, handouts and other promotional materials
• Develop graphics to be used on social media sites
• Create a quarterly print newsletter and monthly e-newsletters
• Distribute regular press releases to media across the UP
• Coordinate GLRC’s social media sites
• Represent GLRC at local health fairs and other community events
• Represent GLRC at local community meetings
• Assist with the planning of GLRC events
• Assist with the maintenance of the GLRC Foundation donor database
• Assist with fundraising activities across the Upper Peninsula.
• Assist with soliciting donations and/or sponsorships for GLRC events.
• Assist with maintaining GLRC Foundation paper files.
• Other duties as assigned.

Must be dependable, motivated, and able to work independently, with empathy, listening skills, strong communication skills, basic computer and software literacy. — Have two (2) continuous years in recovery from addiction(s) with experience in navigating treatment and/or prevention services;

School-Based Behavioral Health Therapist

Required:

Residential Technicians
Adolescent Services Center (Negaunee, MI)

Great Lakes Recovery Centers, Inc., is looking for Full-Time and Part-Time Residential Technicians to work with youth in treatment for substance abuse and mental health issues. The residential technician serves as part of the treatment team and is responsible for providing support to youth in their daily activities and treatment goals. Job duties include managing daily schedule, implementing activities, participating in therapy groups, assisting youth with treatment goals, dispensing medications and meal prep.

Day, Evening, (3:30-11 p.m.), weekend, and overnight positions are available. High School diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field is a plus. Training provided. Must possess valid driver’s license and pass background check. Starting wage $14.00/hr.

Trauma Assessment Program Supervisor
Adolescent Services Center (Negaunee, MI)

Great Lakes Recovery Centers is seeking a part time limited licensed or fully licensed mental health therapist to provide oversight for our Trauma Assessment program. The program supervisor would also serve as part of the trauma assessment team which provides weekly trauma assessments to youth ages 1 to 18.

This position can be made full time by working with our adolescent residential program as a mental health therapist and substance abuse counselor serving youth ages 12-18.

A successful applicant will demonstrate knowledge and/or experience in administration and team leadership, as well as, experience and training in childhood trauma, assessment and testing, adolescent and family treatment modalities, and understanding of counseling theories and techniques. Other preferred qualifications include the ability to work with diverse populations, strong written and oral communication skills, and time management practices. Knowledge of the child welfare system is a plus.

Addiction Counselor
Men’s and Women’s New Hope Houses (Sault Ste Marie, MI)

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate addiction counselors to join our team at our Men’s and Women’s New Hope House locations. Addiction counselors are responsible for assisting certified counselors to implement behavior accountability and skill building. The candidate will assist clients with day to day activities, monitor their behavior, record and collect data on clients’ progress, and communicate with clients. Other duties may include clerical and administrative duties.

To be successful in this role, you will display a compassionate nature, empathy and discretion in your work. You should have excellent communication and time management skills, and be able to develop and maintain relationships with clients, supervisors, and colleagues.
