Offender Success (Marquette, MI)

Full-time Resource/Job Development Specialist targeting Central Upper Peninsula. Position is based out of Marquette, MI. Frequent travel between counties will be required, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, communication skills and the ability to work with Offender Success (OS) specific population is required for this position. Ability to work independently and as part of a team desired. Wage commensurate with experience.

The Resource / Job Development Specialist’s primary responsibility is assuring counties have adequate services, leveraged and OS funded, to meet the assessed and PPA requested needs of returning parolees under the four (4) service categories as defined by MDOC Offender Success Service Parameters.

Working collaboratively with the Project Manager, Community Coordinator, Job Placement Specialists, Program Accountant, Parole Agents, parolees, OS Management, and Offender Success Steering Team to carry out the purpose and duties as outlined above.

Adolescent Services Center (Negaunee, MI)

Part-time Food Service Coordinator for our Adolescent Service Center located in Negaunee, MI. This position will consist of 3-4 hours a day averaging around 25 hours per week. Flexibility in days and times to be discussed during the interview.

Food preparation and providing dinner meals for up to 16 +/- clients. Ability to understand adolescent behavior and be able to work as a team. Demonstrate basic knowledge of recovery and wellness as it applies to nutrition. Advanced training in planning weekly nutritious balanced menus; value purchasing; budgeting food costs; supervision of food service delivery systems; and knowledge of kitchen Health & Safety. Adolescent Services Center (Negaunee, MI)

Full-time Monday – Friday direct care position working with our adolescents in residence for substance abuse and behavioral health issues. Job duties consist of providing day to day care and implementation of daily activities. Candidates should have working knowledge in education to assist our teacher working with clients on individual education plans. The position will oversee planning and implementation of our recreational programming so candidates should be a recreational enthusiast. Being creative will be a must when facilitating our Bridges Program pairing our youth with seniors for a weekly activity. The right person should have a positive attitude, strong leadership skills and ability to direct clients. GLRC is therapy driven and will help train on providing forms of therapy including individual and group therapy.

Experience in the human service field will be beneficial in this role.
