Resource / Job Development Specialist
Eastern U.P. Counties

Full-time Resource / Job Development Specialist targeting the Chippewa / Luce / Mackinac Counties. Frequent travel between counties will be required, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, communication skills and the ability to work with Offender Success (OS) specific population is required for this position. Ability to work independently and as part of a team desired. Wage commensurate with experience.

The Resource / Job Development Specialist’s primary responsibility is assuring counties have adequate services, leveraged and Offender Success (OS) funded, to meet the assessed and PPA requested needs of returning parolees under the four (4) service categories as defined by MDOC Offender Success Service Parameters.

Working collaboratively with the Offender Success (OS) Project Manager, Community Coordinator, Job Placement Specialists, Program Accountant, Parole Agents, Parolees, and Steering Team to carry out the purpose and duties as outlined above.

Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree. Knowledge & experience related to Corrections and Criminal Justice desired but not necessary. Minimum four (4) years’ experience in program development and management, or related field. Must pass background checks.

Behavioral Health Clinician
Marquette Outpatient Services

Therapist/counselor to work in our Marquette Outpatient Clinic. Experience providing biopsychosocial assessments is preferred, as position will begin with assessing new clients and making treatment recommendations. Master’s Degree in behavioral health field preferred but may consider Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, preferably with Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification.

The residential technician serves as part of the treatment team and is responsible for providing support to youth in their daily activities and treatment goals. Addiction Counselor
Men’s and Women’s New Hope Houses (Sault Ste Marie, MI)

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate addiction counselors to join our team at our Men’s and Women’s New Hope House locations. Addiction counselors are responsible for assisting certified counselors to implement behavior accountability and skill building. The candidate will assist clients with day to day activities, monitor their behavior, record and collect data on clients’ progress, and communicate with clients. Other duties may include clerical and administrative duties.

To be successful in this role, you will display a compassionate nature, empathy and discretion in your work. Bachelor’s degree in Human Service discipline and three years related work experience. Or a two-year degree and a CADC and five years related work experience. Or a CADC and a CSS. Experience must include at least two years in a clinical setting where casework with clients constitutes a significant portion of the work responsibilities. Administration and clinical services experience preferred.
