Behavioral Health Clinician
Marquette Outpatient Services

Therapist/counselor to work in our Marquette Outpatient Clinic. Experience providing biopsychosocial assessments is preferred, as position will begin with assessing new clients and making treatment recommendations. Master’s Degree in behavioral health field preferred but may consider Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, preferably with Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification.

Clinical Operations Director
Central Upper Peninsula

Full time clinical management position working with GLRC services in the Central Upper Peninsula. Responsible for coordination, leadership, development, and oversight for service systems involving residential, outpatient, community, and recovery housing programming. This position is a valued member of the agency leadership team and requires a background in working with substance abuse and behavioral health. Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, or psychology, preferred; and certification (or ability to obtain certification) through the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP).

The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and ability to integrate clinical care across service modalities. This position will work directly with GLRC clinicians and managers for implementation of clinical practices, protocols, and service delivery. This position requires strong working knowledge in substance abuse, ASAM criteria, behavioral health conditions, and integrated medical care.

Prior work experience should include three years related work experience in a behavioral health setting.

Trauma Assessment & Adolescent Therapist
Adolescent Services Center (Negaunee, MI)

Great Lakes Recovery Centers is seeking a part time (20 hours a week) limited licensed or fully licensed mental health therapist to provide weekly trauma assessments to youth ages 1 to 18. This position can be made full time by working with our adolescent residential program as a mental health therapist and substance abuse counselor serving youth ages 12-18.

A successful applicant will demonstrate knowledge, experience and/or advanced training in childhood trauma, assessment and testing, adolescent and family treatment modalities, and understanding of counseling theories and techniques. Possess the ability to work as a collaborative team member, the ability to work with diverse populations, strong written and oral communication skills, and time management practices. Knowledge of the child welfare system preferred. Strong facilitator and group delivery techniques.

Addiction Counselor
Men’s and Women’s New Hope Houses (Sault Ste Marie, MI)

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate addiction counselors to join our team at our Men’s and Women’s New Hope House locations. Addiction counselors are responsible for assisting certified counselors to implement behavior accountability and skill building. The candidate will assist clients with day to day activities, monitor their behavior, record and collect data on clients’ progress, and communicate with clients. Other duties may include clerical and administrative duties.

To be successful in this role, you will display a compassionate nature, empathy and discretion in your work.
