– Parent Resources for Information, Development & Education (PRIDE)

Seeking two (2) part-time (Regional, Upper Peninsula) Parent Resources for Information, Development & Education (PRIDE) Trainers.

The primary responsibility of a PRIDE Trainer is to provide in person, PRIDE training to kinship, foster and adoptive families. Ability to provide one on one training to families as needed.

Comfortable presenting to small and large groups, knowledge of the child welfare system and licensing rules. A PRIDE trainer must have or be willing to obtain PRIDE trainer certification from the Office of Workforce.

Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in human services. Wage commensurate with experience.

Seeking passionate and driven professionals to work as part-time Foster Parent Recruiters/Support Coordinators. These exciting part-time positions will develop and implement creative strategies and activities that lead to the identification and engagement of qualified new resource/foster families for the Foster Care and Adoption program. This position offers a flexible schedule, a supportive team-focused environment, and mission-driven work! Candidates must be willing to work evenings and weekends, and be willing to regularly travel within the region.

Foster Parent Recruiters / Support Coordinators must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in recruiting Foster Care Families, and/or Adoptive families, demonstrated knowledge of the child welfare system and previously demonstrated success speaking to large and small groups.

Must be dependable, motivated, and able to work independently, with empathy, listening skills, strong communication skills, basic computer and software literacy. A self-starter with little need for direct supervision & possess the ability to maintain a friendly and professional attitude.

Requirements:

–Be at least 18 yrs. old;

–Have two (2) continuous years in recovery from addiction(s) with experience in navigating treatment and/or prevention services;

–Be willing to successfully complete the MDHHS Peer Recovery Coach training and Certification.
