Seeking a passionate and driven professional to work as a part time Foster Parent Recruiter/PRIDE Trainer in the Mackinac, Luce, Chippewa County areas. This exciting part time position will provide information to persons inquiring about the foster home licensing process, develop and implement creative strategies and activities that lead to the identification and engagement of qualified new resource/foster families for the Foster Care and Adoption program, and provide PRIDE training on a regular basis to groups of new foster parents. This position will also work in the communities above to recruit and retain foster parents by planning and implementing fun family and recognition event. This position offers a supportive team-focused environment, and mission-driven work! Candidates must be willing to work evenings and weekends, and be willing to regularly travel within the region.

Marquette, MI

Part-time Resource / Job Development Specialist with potential to full-time targeting the Upper Peninsula. Frequent travel between counties will be required, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, communication skills and the ability to work with Offender Success (OS) specific population is required for this position. Ability to work independently and as part of a team desired. Wage commensurate with experience.

The Resource / Job Development Specialist’s primary responsibility is assuring counties have adequate services, leveraged and OS funded, to meet the assessed and PPA requested needs of returning parolees under the four service categories as defined by MDOC Offender Success Service Parameters.

Working collaboratively with the Project Manager, Community Coordinator, Job Placement Specialists, Program Accountant, Parole Agents, parolees, OS Management, and Offender Success Steering Team to carry out the purpose and duties as outlined above.

Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree. Knowledge & experience related to Corrections and Criminal Justice desired but not necessary. Minimum four (4) years’ experience in program development and management, or related field. Must pass background checks.

Great Lakes Recovery Centers is looking for a part-time, 20-24 hrs. per week, Peer Recovery Coach. Must be dependable, motivated, and able to work independently, with empathy, listening skills, strong communication skills, basic computer and software literacy. A self-starter with little need for direct supervision & possess the ability to maintain a friendly and professional attitude.

Requirements:

–Be at least 18 yrs. old;

–Have two (2) continuous years in recovery from addiction(s) with experience in navigating treatment and/or prevention services;

–Be willing to successfully complete the MDHHS Peer Recovery Coach training and Certification.
