This position is located at the Administrative Office in Ishpeming and is a Full Time position. The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer. Fringe benefits include; paid vacation, sick time, holidays, Long Term Disability, Life & AD&D. Health insurance benefit is also offered.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to); May be called upon to act as the Executive Director if in absence and then reports to the Board of Directors. Will have overall responsibilities for program development, supervision, evaluation, design, and operations. Shall carry out all the philosophy, policies, procedures, and plans set forth by the Board of Directors. This position will make recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer regarding overall responsibility in the area of clinical application, supervision, design, staffing, termination, programming, and evaluation, and design.

Experience:

3-5 years clinical and administrative experience
Comprehensive knowledge in State of Michigan funding and license systems
Prior track record in clinical supervision, upper management / administration capabilities
Evaluation and program development background and design
Research based applications
Accreditation and License experience
EMR and Computer capabilities
Contract management
Utilization management

Part time (29 hours/week) Administrative Assistant for our Marquette Outpatient Services office located in Marquette, MI. Great Lakes Recovery Centers, Inc. (GLRC) is accepting applications for a full-time Foundation Prevention/SUD Specialist which will work towards implementation of both suicide and substance abuse prevention activities. In addition, the Prevention/Community Specialist will also assist with the Mental Health First Aid Initiative.

Duties:

Develop and/or assist with community educational/prevention events, health fairs and targeted public events promoting GLRC prevention activities, including Out of the Darkness.
Solicit donations and/or sponsorships for GLRC events specific to suicide and/or substance abuse prevention.
Assist with maintaining a social media presence in regards to suicide and substance abuse prevention.
Assist with the increase of public awareness and networking by attending community meetings such as various Communities the Care Coalitions (including those in Baraga and Alger Counties), MC2, MCSPA and others.
Work with Gwinn and Ishpeming schools to create/enhance the community team in each of these regions, engaging school personnel and students, youth serving organizations, law enforcement and EMS.
Assist with/coordinate monthly prevention calls.

Master’s level prepared clinicians to be a part of our Trauma Assessment Team. The trauma assessment team is comprised of trans-disciplinary team of clinicians, including OT, SPL Therapists and Behavioral Health Clinicians. This highly specialized assessment is designed for those children who experience developmental delays as a result of their traumatic experiences. Intensive training provided. Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Trauma Assessment Specialist – Master’s Degree with current licensure (or limited licensure) in the State of Michigan as a professional counselor, psychologist, or social worker. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge, experience and/or advanced training in childhood trauma, assessment and testing, adolescent and family treatment modalities, and understanding of counseling theories and techniques. Possess the ability to work as a collaborative team member, the ability to work with diverse populations, strong written and oral communication skills, and time management practices.
